The national magazine FOCUS-HEALTH has rated the Leopoldina Hospital (the LEO for short) as a TOP REGIONAL HOSPITAL in 2019. The LEO also made it to FOCUS-HEALTH’s 2020 list of TOP hospitals in Germany. With 700 beds, the LEO is a major regional healthcare provider. Annually, the hospital sees around 65,000 patients as in- and outpatients. The hospital complex includes 20 clinics and departments as well as facilities from external providers. To ensure optimal patient outcomes 24/7 and 365 days a week, the hospital employs more than 200 physicians and 900 clinical staff. As a modern, regional specialty hospital, the LEO offers comprehensive medical care using the latest technology and scientific approaches. We treat patients with complex medical conditions using the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic treatments.
The LEO primarily serves the people of the city of Schweinfurt, the surrounding county, and areas in northern Unterfranken.

The Schweinfurt Leopoldina Hospital is one of the largest employers in the region. The LEO is an academic teaching hospital of the University of Würzburg and offers a great selection of professional opportunities.
