Mental Health Hospital Werneck
The Mental Health Hospital in Werneck has 290 acute care beds, 59 forensic psychology beds, and 20 outpatient beds in Schweinfurt, as well as two psychiatric urgent care facilities in Werneck and Schweinfurt. The hospital offers the entire bandwidth of modern psychological and psychotherapeutic treatments to provide optimal care to mental health patients. Our care is geared towards the needs of each individual patient and we provide the best possible care for them. Comprehensive Continuing Education Opportunities
Our hospital is accredited to provide physicians with the education needed towards specialist certifications: four years for psychology and psychotherapy, three years for psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, six months for neurology, and six months for internal medicine. Our physicians can fulfill their psychotherapy requirements in-house or, at our expense, at other facilities. Furthermore, physicians can get additional credentials in clinical geriatrics and forensic psychology within 24 months.
Psychologists in training can complete their required clinical rotations to become psychotherapists at our facility.
Social work students are also able to complete their clinical requirements here.
Our campus houses a nursing school that helps us maintain our nursing staff. The hospital administration additionally offers an internal training program in psychiatric care.
